Why I coach soccer (1)

Hi my name is Nyle,

I am a 13 year old kid who has been playing soccer for 9 years trying to make it my goal to show young kids near me the life lessons and basics of soccer. I believe that soccer is more than just a sport. It helps you learn many more things than just how to kick a ball.

Here are some of the things soccer teaches you:

  1. In order to get better, you have to keep on practicing and doing the same thing over and over again
  2. Mistakes will happen. You just need to learn from them and then forget about them
  3. You can’t do everything by yourself. You need other people to help you succeed
  4. Nothing will come easy to you. If you want something, you have to work extremely hard for it
  5. Being positive really matters. Shouting at people won’t help get things faster, it will only slow them down.

These are only some of the things you can learn from soccer, but these are the most important. Although I will try my hardest to make the kids I have better players, the main reason why I want to coach younger kids is quite simple. I want to spark their interest in soccer so they want to go and learn these lessons. The ideal dream for every kid that plays soccer is to one day go professional. Even though everyone wants to, unfortunately, It isn’t a reality for most people. I want the kids I coach to get something important out of their time playing soccer. That is why I feel it is most important for kids to learn these life lessons.
